I’ve been playing for less than 2 months and I know I ain’t no bot despite what people may think over 150 kills so far under 300 rounds 2 solo wins, 7 duos & 3 squads (back to back) = 12 wins total wins aren’t everything in this game anyways and have I mentioned I didn’t need to do creative at all to get good or takes common sense and I practiced aim/killing in pleasant park for an hour and just like that I got better at the game I can build but don’t always either I think building is the pussy way of playing but build when I need to restore my health

Well, coming from DayZ I consider the best defense is the camo. While I build some simple things if under fire on an open area, why would I build some ugly tower while waiting for players ? Builds attract player attention, and I don’t want it. It’s exactly how I won my few #1 matches : sniping their head when they pop out of their tower, while they didn’t even knew where I was hidden.

A brown skin, having a nice sniper rifle, having the high ground, knowing how to move carefully and spotting the area before moving in – that’s what I like to do in this game.

I’m not really good at this game – only had 2 or 3 #1 games. But I’m kind of good as a sniper, and I either don’t like and can’t handle the fast-paced close-quarter fights : some PC lags and freeze ; dislike jump/build tactics that are meta in this game and quite bad at close range.

Still, I don’t want to be a pro, I just play this game to chill.

In reply to Arikuma. It's great you have your cousin to teach you how to play Fortnite :) And I agree that bot can be a confusing term. But thinking about it as meaning the same as noob should help.

Why would saying yes to building make you a bot? You are supposed to build in Fortnite…

I’m a bot but my cousin who’s been playing since season 4 is teaching me how to play
And I wish we still used noobs instead of bots, since when I first heard bot I thought of other things
But when I think of noob…nothing expect noob :/

In reply to travelsonic. Indeed, the term is a bit confusing when you consider aimbots. But I think "bot" is a good term to describe a particular kind of player now that actual bots are in Fortnite (which reminds me I need to update this post!)

IMO, bot is a stupid term to apply to players, since in the gaming world, it is already claimed twofold in the gaming world, and thus loses its effectiveness from the start (being predated by prior uses – both referring to ai controlled targets and the like, and being used as shorthand for “aimbot” for instance.).
