Do you want free V-Bucks?
Of course you do, every Fortnite player does.
And that’s the problem.
You see, many Free V-Buck Generators exist and you may have seen them on YouTube or while browsing the internet in general..
Listen, free V-Buck generators are scams and you cannot generate V-Bucks. The point of these generator websites is to get you to enter sensitive information.
In other words, your Epic Games email address and password. So they can get access to your Fortnite account and steal your stuff.
But there really are safe and legitimate ways to earn free V-Bucks in Fortnite. And in this post, I’m going to show you exactly how.
First, let me tell you about a little-known mode in Fortnite. A mode that can earn you over 10,000 V-Bucks for free if you’re willing to put in a little time and spend a little money.
Enter Fortnite Save the World
You’re probably most familiar with the free to play PvP (Player vs Player) Battle Royale mode of Fortnite. But there is another mode: Save the World.
Save the World is the co-op PvE (Player vs Environment) mode of Fortnite. And unlike the Battle Royale mode, you have to pay for Save the World.
You can usually buy save the world for $39.99. But you can sometimes find it on sale for 50% off.
Note: Save the World is not available on Nintendo Switch or mobile devices (Android or iOS).
The advantage Save the World has is that you can farm V-Bucks easily from daily logins and quests. And any V-Bucks you earn or buy in Save the World can be spent in Battle Royale.
So you can use the free V-Bucks you earn in Save the World to buy your favorite skins or emotes in Battle Royale.
Free V-Bucks Method #1: Save the World Daily Login Rewards
You will get a reward in Save the World for each day you log in for the first 336 days.
You don’t have to log in every day either. In other words, your logins don’t have to be consecutive.
And if you miss a day it doesn’t matter because you will not reset back to day 1. It will continue from the next time you log in to Save the World.
On day 11 you will get your first V-Bucks reward: 50 V-Bucks.
Yes, it’s not much. But at the end of the 336 days, you’ll have earned 10,000 V-Bucks.
Now 10,000 V-Bucks for just logging in to Save the World isn’t bad. How many skins could you buy with 10,000 V-Bucks?
And the daily login rewards aren’t the only way to earn V-Bucks in Save the World, either.
Read on.
Free V-Bucks Method #2: Save the World Quests & Missions
Save the World is more like a campaign and you’ll get quests and missions and so on you can complete.
For example, here are the modes that could get you V-Bucks as a reward:
- Daily Quests
- Timed Missions
- Main Questline
- Side Quests
- Events
Of course, some quests and missions do not reward you with V-Bucks. But reward you with other items helpful to advancing in Save the World.
Now let me explain each mode to you.
Daily Quests
As well as a reward for every day you log in to Save the World, you will get a daily quest.
A daily quest is worth 50-100 V-Bucks and the amount of times it takes to complete a daily quest varies each day.
Daily quests work the same as the old daily challenges in the Battle Pass. In other words, you can stack up to 3 quests at once and swap out a daily quest a day.
So you can swap out the hardest quests and complete multiple quests at once (if you’re smart).
You’ll need to spend at least a few hours a week to complete all your daily quests to earn at least 350 V-Bucks a week.
Timed Missions
Timed missions are limited-time missions that grant you bonus rewards like experience, heroes and, of course, V-Bucks.
You can get 25-40 V-Bucks from completing timed missions.
But only mini-boss missions will reward you with V-Bucks.
Also, the missions rotate every 24 hours. In other words, once every day.
You can use a tool like StormShieldOne to help you keep track of timed missions so you never miss an opportunity to earn the best rewards.
Main Questline
The main questline is divided into 4 different areas:
- Twin Peaks
- Canny Valley
- Plankerton
- Stonewood
You will unlock each next area after completing a certain number of quests. Some quests reward you with a V-Bucks.
But Storm Shield Defense quests reward you with 100 V-Bucks and the main questline gives you a Storm Shield Defense quest roughly every 10th quest.
In total, there are 6 Storm Shield Defense quests and the reward for completing a Storm Shield Defense quest is 100 V-Bucks.
Side Quests
Side quests are challenges you can repeat multiple times to farm for V-Bucks.
In Lok’s Book of Monsters some quest will reward you with V-Bucks. And in Floating Freaks you can expect a reward of 100 V-Bucks.
Here are the side quests you can complete up to 20 times:
- Mission Accomplished – 50 V-Bucks rewarded for each completion
- Hold The Door – 50 V-Bucks rewarded for each completion
- Toxic Treasures – 30 V-Bucks rewarded for each completion
So you can earn several thousand V-Bucks from doing your side quests.
Not bad.
Events
Events occur in Save the World every few months.
And out of all the methods you’ve learned about so far, events can reward you with the greatest amount of V-bucks. Sometimes up to several hundred.
Unfortunately, they’re the least regular.
So you’ll need to keep up with the latest Save the World updates to know when the next event is released.
Is it worth buying Save the World?
You’re probably thinking to yourself if Save the World is cost-effective to buy (if you haven’t got it already).
To answer this question, we need to know how much V-Bucks are worth. As of writing, these are the current prices for V-Bucks in $USD:
- 1,000 V-Bucks: $9.99
- 2,800 V-Bucks: $24.99
- 5,000 V-Bucks: $39.99
- 13,500 V-Bucks: $99.99
As you know, Save the World is available right now for its usual price of $39.99 (and sometimes on sale for $19.99).
So you would need to earn at least 5,000 V-Bucks from Save the World for it to be cost-effective.
Clearly Save the World is cost-effective because you can get up to 10,000 V-Bucks just from logging in every day. And you can get even more V-Bucks when you complete quests and missions and so on.
Yes, it’s going to take longer to earn the V-Bucks than the instant gratification you get from buying them then and there.
But it’s worth your time because you will save money in the long term.
Is Save the World fun?
Now, this is a more difficult question because it cannot be answered through calculations and logic.
Of course, I don’t know what kind of games you enjoy playing in general.
But if you enjoy PvE games (particularly survival style modes) then you will probably enjoy playing Save the World.
Here’s my personal opinion: the Battle Royale mode is much more enjoyable than Save the World.
That’s because I prefer PvP games and competing against other players. And I have more friends that play Battle Royale.
And if you prefer Battle Royale like me then read on to learn how you can earn hundreds of V-Bucks for free with little investment on your part.
Free V-Bucks Method #3: Battle Royale Battle Pass
As you know, Battle Royale is the most popular mode in Fortnite.
But the only way you can earn V-Bucks for free when playing Fortnite Battle Royale is through the Battle Pass. There is a new Battle Pass each season and each Battle Pass has 100 Tiers for you to unlock and some tiers reward you with V-Bucks.
There is a free version and a paid version.
The paid version costs 950 V-Bucks and you can earn up to 1,500 from it. You can earn only up to 200 V-Bucks from the free version.
Clearly, it makes sense to buy the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks, especially if you play Battle Royale a lot because you can easily unlock the Tiers over time.
Because you earn more than you spend for the Battle Pass, you can get enough V-Bucks to pay for the Battle Pass every season.
A season lasts roughly 90 days, so there are about 5 seasons a year.
You can earn up to 550 V-Bucks a season from the paid Battle Pass. Therefore, you can earn over 2,500 V-Bucks a year for free from playing Fortnite Battle Royale.
So far there have been 8 Seasons and some players will have earned over 4,000 V-Bucks.
The important thing is you start early because the increments are small. But can quickly add up over time.
Conclusion
As you know, V-Bucks are the currency in Fortnite you can buy with real-life money.
You use V-Bucks to buy things in the Fortnite Item Shop and some players spend thousands of dollars for skins in Battle Royale.
Everyone wants free V-Bucks and that’s why so many free V-Buck generators exist.
I said at the start and I’ll say it again here: Free V-Buck generators are scams trying to get your Epic Games username and password to hack your Fortnite account.
You can keep your account secure by enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) now because 2FA can help keep your account secure from unauthorized access.
