Malachi “Reverse2k” Greiner is a pro Fortnite player and streamer for TSM.

He’s well known for placing high in tournaments, and for playing as Ninja’s duo partner.

In this post, I’m going to show you Reverse2k’s Fortnite settings, keybinds, sensitivity, setup and so on.

We will be going fairly in-depth in some sections so you can learn from the settings of one of the best players.

If you are looking for a particular section, then here are links for you to jump to wherever you want:

But even the best players don’t have everything set up optimally.

In other words, you can also learn from the mistakes that Reverse2k has, so you don’t make them yourself.

Anyway, let’s get started.

Reverse2k’s building keybinds

Reverse2k Fortnite building keybinds

Let’s begin with the building keybinds because they are the most important keybinds to have set up, and will set the foundation for everything else.

Here are the keybinds Reverse2k uses for building in Fortnite:

 • Wall: F
 • Floor: Mouse Button 5
 • Stairs: Mouse Button 4
 • Roof: Z

You see, Reverse2k uses the thumb buttons on his mouse for 2 of his building keybinds, his stairs, and floors.

Most Fortnite players will benefit from having 2 keybinds on their mouse because it opens up the opportunity for using more keys on your keyboard for other actions.

The reason you want your building keybinds on your mouse and not the weapons in your inventory is because pressing the thumb mouse buttons can negatively impact your grip and therefore your aim.

I prefer to use the thumb mouse buttons for building stairs and walls because that combination feels good. But, as Reverse2k shows, you can choose any building pieces you want.

For the remaining building keybinds, Reverse2k uses F for his wall and he presses that using his index finger. And he uses Z for his pyramid and he presses that using his ring finger.

In other words, Reverse2k has his building pieces on separate fingers, and this enables him to build quickly and press the keys with accuracy.

Obviously, you want to build as fast as possible, and having your building keybinds on separate fingers is one of the best ways to improve the speed of your building.

Reverse2k’s weapon keybinds

Reverse2k Fortnite weapon keybinds

You can see Reverse2k uses pretty standard keybinds for switching between the items in his Fortnite inventory, including his pickaxe.

 • Harvesting tool: 1
 • Weapon slot 1: 2
 • Weapon slot 2: 3
 • Weapon slot 3: 4
 • Weapon slot 4: 5
 • Weapon slot 5: 6

Using your number keys in ascending order (low to high) is the standard because it’s logical and makes it easy to remember which keys are bound to each slot.

You’ll notice that many pro Fortnite players also use this particular weapon keybind set up. For example, MrSavage and Tfue.

As you know, you’ll often need to switch between your items when playing Fortnite. For example, when you switch from your shotgun to a submachine gun to quickly finish off a low health enemy.

So it’s important that you get your weapon keybinds right and can comfortably switch between each item slot.

Because you don’t want to be fumbling around with your items and struggling to equip the right weapon at the right time.

Reverse2k’s other keybinds

Now that we’ve covered the most important keybinds (building and weapon), let’s look at the rest of the keybinds that Reverse2k uses:

 • Edit: C
 • Trap: X
 • Use: E
 • Inventory: Q
 • Reload/Rotate: R
 • Crouch: Left-Ctrl
 • Sprint By Default: On
 • Repair/Upgrade: Middle mouse button

Here are some rather unusual keybinds, so let me explain them for you.

You see, using C to edit is a unique keybind because most Fortnite players will use either F, G, or E which you can press using your index finger.

Of course, you can press C using your index finger, or you could use your thumb if you have good coordination with your thumb (some players cannot press anything except space bar).

Look, C is a good key for editing because it’s close to your W-key that you use to move forward in Fortnite, and you should almost always be moving forward.

If you are having trouble pressing C, then you may find it beneficial to angle your keyboard, especially if you want to use your thumb.

Now, Reverse2k uses X for his trap, and this is another unusual key (a lot of Fortnite players like to use T as it’s the first letter in the word trap).

However, X is another good key because it’s also close to your movement keys.

Look, you don’t have to use a mnemonic device for your keybinds. And as long as you stick with your keybinds long enough you will eventually remember what every key is used for.

Next, we have Reverse2k’s Use key which he has on E. This is the default keybind, so there’s nothing unusual here.

Some players like to have Use on F and use E for something else (like a building key). However, as you know, Reverse2k uses F for building walls as we covered earlier.

Reverse2k uses Q for accessing his inventory. In my opinion, this is a bad keybind.

You see, Q is a very valuable key because it’s right next to your W-key, and easy to press with your ring finger.

So I would recommend using Q for something else like a building or inventory keybind. And having your inventory on something like Tab, for example.

R for reloading and rotating buildings is normal, so not much to say there.

Using Left-Ctrl for crouching is also a normal keybind because it’s the default key. But Reverse2k uses sprint by default, so his Left-Shift key is free.

Left-Shift is a fantastic key because you can easily press it with your index finger.

So one easy keybind change I think Reverse2k should make is moving crouch from Left-Ctrl to Left-Shift. It’s much easier to press, especially when you’re spam crouching and jiggle strafing to be harder to hit.

The final unusual keybind Reverse2k uses is his middle mouse button for repairing/upgrading builds. This is typically an overlooked keybind, and using the middle mouse button is a smart choice.

Now you’ve seen some rather unusual keybinds from a great Fortnite player.

And in some areas, they are certainly suboptimal.

What does this mean?

This just shows you don’t need optimal keybinds to be an amazing Fortnite player.

You just need your keybinds to be reasonably well thought out and tailored to your particular needs so that everything is comfortable to press.

Reverse2k’s Fortnite sensitivity

Reverse2k Fortnite sensitivity

With Reverse2k’s keybinds out of the way, let’s get into one of the most important settings you can configure in Fortnite: Your sensitivity.

Look, Reverse2k uses some interesting settings, which I will explain here.

 • X-Axis Sensitivity: 11.2%
 • Y-Axis Sensitivity: 9.5%
 • Targeting Sensitivity: 22.3%
 • Scope Sensitivity: 29.4%

The first thing to note is that Reverse2k uses different X and Y sensitivities.

You see, his Y (vertical) sensitivity is roughly 85% of his X (horizontal) sensitivity. Therefore, his mouse movements are slower when moving in the vertical axis.

I suggest you keep your X and Y sensitivities the same, so your movements are consistent in both axes. You know Fortnite has a lot of vertical because of building, so there is a lot of utility in keeping your Y sensitivity the same as your X sensitivity.

Reverse2k uses a mouse DPI of 800, so we are able to work out his Fortnite eDPI.

Reverse2k uses an eDPI of 89.6, which is fairly high and outside the eDPI range that I would recommend most Fortnite players use.

Of course, Fortnite is different from most shooters because it’s a battle royale with building. So it can actually be advantageous to use a high sensitivity.

To balance out his high base sensitivity, Reverse2k uses a low targeting sensitivity (22.3%) and scope sensitivity (29.4%). So his mouse movements are slower and therefore more precise when aiming down sites.

Another setting that’s loosely related to sensitivity and worth mentioning here is mouse polling rate. Reverse2k uses a mouse polling rate of 500 Hz.

This is lower than the 1000 Hz mouse polling rate that most Fortnite pro players use and that I recommend. The reason Reverse2k uses a mouse polling rate of 500 Hz is that this is the maximum polling rate of the mouse he uses.

Which brings us onto our next section.

Reverse2k’s Fortnite setup

Now let’s take a look at the hardware and peripherals and so on that Reverse2k uses for playing Fortnite.

Here are Reverse2k’s gaming PC specs:

Obviously, Reverse2k is a pro player, so it shouldn’t be surprising that he uses the top hardware to get the most FPS possible in Fortnite.

You see, the RTX 2080 Ti is the best graphics card for Fortnite and the i9-9900k is a top gaming CPU. Of course, they are both very expensive.

One upgrade I would definitely make to this PC build is to the SSD because 240GB of storage is going to be too little for most people. You can get a fast 1TB M.2 SSD for a good price today.

Of course, storage is a personal preference, so you should get what you think you require.

Moreover, there is more to a gaming setup than just your PC. You also need to have a monitor to display the game, as well as a mouse and keyboard and so on.

So here are the peripherals that Reverse2k uses for playing Fortnite:

The Alienware AW2518H is very popular with Fortnite players (and it’s the same monitor I use) because it has a display rate of 240 Hz.

Because Reverse2k has a very powerful PC with a top graphics card, he is able to make the most of the display rate and high FPS in combination with a high display rate monitor can actually make you a better Fortnite player.

For the mouse, Reverse2k uses the Finalmouse Air58 Ninja, which is also popular with Fortnite players because it’s super light and has a top sensor. This is a fitting mouse since Reverse2k often plays with Ninja.

Also, since Reverse2k plays for TSM he is therefore sponsored by Logitech, so it’s unsurprising he uses some Logitech gear. Logitech makes amazing hardware for gamers, and it’s hard to go wrong with them.

Reverse2k’s Fortnite video settings

Reverse2k Fortnite video settings

You know Reverse2k has a powerful PC, and he also uses competitive video settings to get the most FPS and minimize distractions.

 • Resolution: 1920×1080
 • View Distance: Epic
 • Shadows: Off
 • Anti-Aliasing: Medium
 • Textures: Low
 • Effects: Low
 • Post Processing: Low
 • VSync: Off
 • Motion Blur: Off
 • Show FPS: On
 • Allow Multithreaded Rendering: On

The only settings that Reverse2k doesn’t have set to the lowest are View Distance and Anti-Aliasing.

View Distance affects how far away objects render on your screen and has minimal impact on your FPS, so having it set to Epic is normal.

Anti-Aliasing makes lines look smooth and less pixelated. But it’s hard to tell the difference between any of the settings and it also has minimal impact on FPS.

Conclusion

So there you have it, that’s about everything there is to cover about the settings and keybinds and so on that Reverse2k uses in Fortnite.

I hope you have found this useful and you have learned something from studying one of the best Fortnite players.

]]>
Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen is a pro Fortnite player for NRG Esports.

He’s 14 years old and is considered one of the best Fortnite players in the world.

In this post, I am going to be breaking down all of MrSavage’s Fortnite settings. And I am going to explain each section of his keybinds.

So you can learn from one of the best and apply it to your own settings.

MrSavage’s building keybinds

MrSavage building keybinds

Let’s begin with what I think are the most important part of your keybinds: Building.

Here are the keybinds MrSavage uses for building in Fortnite:

 • Wall: F
 • Floor: G
 • Stairs: T
 • Pyramid: F4

Now, these are quite unusual keybinds. Let me explain why.

Listen, my best practice for building keybinds in Fortnite is to try and get each building piece on a different finger. Because when you have each building piece on a different finger you’re going to be able to build fast.

But MrSavage uses index finger for every building piece.

As you know, MrSavage is one of the best and fastest builders. And he does it using keybinds that I would consider sub-optimal.

So what does that mean?

Well, I think this is an example of how personal a thing keybinds really are. You can really use whatever you want.

Of course, if you were to merely copy these keybinds, I doubt they would work for you.

You see, MrSavage is a very talented and skilled player, and he makes his keybinds work because he’s spent thousands of hours playing Fortnite.

And practicing his building and editing in creative mode.

More index finger

Before moving on to MrSavage’s weapon keybinds and sensitivity, I want to continue looking at some of his other keybinds.

Not only does MrSavage use his index finger to do all the building, but he also uses it for some other things such as:

 • Edit: Y
 • Trap: F5
 • Use: E

I think the most interesting about some of MrSavage’s keybinds are how far they are away from the WASD movement keys. For example Y, F5 and F4 are difficult keys to press.

Most people would struggle to hit these and press them slowly. But MrSavage is able to press them with ease and with lightning speed and tremendous accuracy.

Can you imagine building and editing using just one finger?

MrSavage’s weapon keybinds

MrSavage weapon keybinds

MrSavage uses the default number keys for his weapon keybinds.

This is quite normal.

But when you consider he’s doing all of his building and editing using one finger (his index) and now some weapon swaps too, it’s really quite surprising.

 • Harvesting tool: 1
 • Weapon slot 1: 2
 • Weapon slot 2: 3
 • Weapon slot 3: 4
 • Weapon slot 4: 5
 • Weapon slot 5: 6

I don’t understand how MrSavage is able to build, edit and swap between weapons so fast while using only one finger. Maybe I need to rethink my keybind philosophy.

Or, perhaps, MrSavage is really that good.

MrSavage’s sensitivity

MrSavage Fortnite sensitivity

On the surface, by looking only at MrSavage’s Fortnite settings, the sensitivity looks normal.

But you have to consider the mouse DPI, too. Because mouse DPI acts as a modifier for your sensitivity.

Here is MrSavage’s Fortnite sensitivity:

 • Mouse DPI: 1450
 • Mouse Sensitivity X: 0.081
 • Mouse Sensitivity Y: 0.081
 • Mouse Targeting Sensitivity: 0.950
 • Mouse Scope Sensitivity: 0.950

Now that we know his mouse DPI, we can calculate the eDPI.

eDPI is calculated by multiplying mouse DPI by Fortnite sensitivity.

So MrSavage has an eDPI (effective DPI) of 117.45.

This is high sensitivity. Particularly for a pro player in a shooter game. In general, pro players in shooter games use a low sensitivity because you can be more precise with your mouse movements.

But you can use higher sensitivities than normal in Fortnite because it’s not like most shooters. As you know, it’s a Battle Royale with building.

When you build you need to easily whip your screen around for tunneling and so on. And a higher sensitivity can help improve your reactivity, which is essential in Fortnite.

Another thing I want to highlight is MrSavage’s targeting and scope sensitivity.

Targeting sensitivity is a multiplier for when you aim down sites (ADS) and a value of 1 means there is no slow down when aiming. MrSavage uses a targeting sensitivity of 0.950, so it is almost the same as his normal sensitivity.

Moreover, MrSavage’s scope sensitivity is the same, so that’s quite high too.

Most people will find it difficult to have accurate aim in Fortnite when using such high sensitivity.

But MrSavage is an advocate of Kovaak’s FPS Aim Trainer and has practiced it a lot to get his aim as good as it is today.

Are you interested in learning more about sensitivity in Fortnite?

You can check out my ultimate guide to Fortnite sensitivity here.

MrSavage’s Fortnite setup

Now we’re going to look at the PC and peripherals and so on that MrSavage uses.

Because he is one of the best players in the world, it shouldn’t be surprising that he uses a top-end PC. So he can get the highest frames per second (FPS) possible when playing Fortnite.

Here are MrSavage’s gaming PC specs:

This is truly one of the most powerful gaming PCs you can build today.

You see, the RTX 2080 Ti is the best graphics card for Fortnite and the i9-9900k is a top gaming CPU.

Of course, these parts are very expensive.

Do you need help choosing parts for your Fortnite PC? Check out my recommended gear.

Also, MrSavage has a separate PC for gaming and the GPU and CPU are the same as his gaming PC. Yes, it’s overkill. But it lets him stream in the highest quality.

Listen, there is more to a gaming setup than just a PC. So here are the rest of MrSavage’s peripherals:

I want to talk a bit about MrSavage’s mouse. The ROCCAT Kone Pure Owl-Eye is an interesting choice because when I analyzed the mouse of more than 200 of the best Fortnite pro players and streamers less than 1% use it.

As a coincidence, this is the same mouse I had several years ago when I was playing League of Legends at a high level.

Onward.

MrSavage’s Fortnite video settings

MrSavage Fortnite video settings

As you know, MrSavage has a very powerful PC.

And he also has his video settings in Fortnite lowered so he can get the max performance in-game.

 • Resolution: 1920×1080
 • View Distance: Epic
 • Shadows: Off
 • Anti-Aliasing: Off
 • Textures: Low
 • Effects: Low
 • Post Processing: Low
 • VSync: Off
 • Motion Blur: Off
 • Show FPS: On
 • Allow Multithreaded Rendering: On

MrSavage’s other Fortnite settings

MrSavage color blind settings

Just before I wrap this post up, I want to show you some more of MrSavagen’s settings that you might find interesting.

 • Color Blind Mode: Deuteranope
 • Color Blind Strength: 5
 • HUD Scale: 0.95
 • Brightness: 1.00

You see, MrSavage uses the Deuteranope color blind mode because it lets you spot enemies in the storm easier than the default setting.

His HUD Scale is quite high. I like to set it lower so it doesn’t take up as much real estate on my screen and you may want to consider that when doing your settings.

And the brightness is as high as can be. In general, Fortnite’s default brightness setting of 0.5 is too low.

MrSavage brightness settings

However, brightness is dependent on your monitor. So set it at a level where you can comfortably spot enemies even in hard to see areas with a dark skin.

Conclusion

That just about wraps up everything there is to know about MrSavage’s Fortnite settings.

As a quick summary: He uses very different keybinds where he uses his index finger for every building piece and editing and some weapon switches.

Also, his sensitivity is high, but it’s not so high that you can’t control your aim. Although it’s certainly at the upper limit of where you want your Fortnite sensitivity to be.

The post Tfue Fortnite Keybinds, Mouse, Sensitivity, Setup & Settings appeared first on Kr4m.

]]>
Turner “Tfue” Tenner is one of the most popular and best Fortnite players in the World.

Here I am going to analyze his keybinds and settings so you can learn from them.

Let’s start with the keybinds Tfue uses for building:

 • Wall: C
 • Floor: E
 • Stairs: Q
 • Pyramid/Roof: Mouse Button 5

Now I am going to break this down.

Listen, Tfue has his 3 main building pieces bound to C, E, and Q.

He uses first (index) finger to press E, his third (ring) finger to press Q, and his thumb to press C. And he uses the thumb of his mouse hand for placing a pyramid.

Tfue uses the FinalMouse Ultralight Pro and I’ll go into more detail about that in just a minute. For now, though, let’s continue looking at his keybinds.

Because Tfue uses a different finger to press each of his building keybinds, he can build very fast. Moreover, he uses keys that are close to the WASD keys for movement, so they’re easy to press.

When your building keys are bound to individual fingers—like Tfue—then you will be able to build much faster. But only if you have good coordination with your thumb.

Otherwise, you’d be hitting your E and C keys using your first (index) finger. And, as you know, using the same finger for two keybinds is not as fast as when you use 2 different fingers.

Here are Tfue’s weapon keybinds:

Tfue weapon keybinds
 • Harvesting tool (pickaxe): 1
 • Weapon slot 1: 2
 • Weapon slot 2: 3
 • Weapon slot 3: 4
 • Weapon slot 4: 5
 • Weapon slot 5: 6

You see Tfue has every item in his inventory bound to his number keys. From number 1 through to 6.

You could use these for your own Fortnite keybinds. But only if your hands are big enough to comfortably reach the number 6 key.

And if you have good enough coordination and finger dexterity to press any of your number keys in a moments notice.

I only use the numbers 1, 3, 4 and 5 on my keyboard for my weapon keybinds. Because my hands are small and 5 is as far as I can reach. And I find the number 2 awkward to press while holding the W key.

Listen—because Tfue uses his number keys to swap between the items in his Fortnite inventory, he frees up a lot of other valuable keys for other things like editing and traps.

Do you want to know what they are?

Tfue edits with his V key

To be the best at Fortnite you need to be a fast editor. And to be a fast editor you need to have your edit key bound to a good key.

A lot of pro players and streamers like to use F as their edit key, which you can press easily with your first (index) finger.

But not Tfue.

Tfue uses his V key to edit and he uses his thumb to press it. So, Tfue uses his thumb to press 3 keys: C, V, and Spacebar.

As you know, his C key is bound to his wall. Now you know his V key is bound to edit. And, obviously, Spacebar is bound to jump.

Because Tfue uses his thumb to do so many things, he doesn’t jump as often.

Here’s what I think: New Fortnite players jump too much! They watch too many streamers (like Ninja) and watch them jumping a lot and then copy that playstyle.

But they don’t focus on hitting their shots. So what ends up happening when 2 new players are in a gunfight is they are both jumping around and miss every shot.

Because they panic and don’t focus on hitting their shots. Anyway, that’s just one reason why I think some peoples aim in Fortnite isn’t as good as it could be.

So if you have good coordination with your thumb, and you jump too much, then try using your thumb more in your keybinds like Tfue.

Tfue’s trap is bound to his mouse button

As you know, Tfue’s keybinds aren’t like most other Fortnite players.

You see, a lot of players (myself included) like to have 2 building keys bound to the thumb mouse buttons. For example, wall and stairs.

But not Tfue. Again, he uses something different because he saves a lot of good keys by using the numbers 1-6 for his inventory.

So, he can use another thumb button on his mouse for getting easy trap kills.

Listen, most players have trap bound to a key that’s hard to press and they don’t get as many trap keys as a result.

Are you starting to see a trend in Tfue’s keybinds?

He has all of the important things in Fortnite bound to good keys. In other words his:

 • Building keys
 • Editing key
 • Weapon keys
 • Trap key

Are all bound to something that Tfue can press easily. And that’s one of the reasons why Tfue is one of the best Fortnite players in the world.

The rest of Tfue’s keybinds

Now that you know what Tfue uses for his most important keybinds.

Let’s quickly cover his misc. keybinds and then move onto his mouse, sensitivity and setup.

 • Crouch – Left shift
 • Use – F
 • Repair – Left Ctrl
 • Reload and Rotate Building – R
 • Inventory – TAB
 • Map – M

Tfue has changed the default crouch key from left ctrl to left shift.

Left shift is much easier to press than ctrl because it’s closer to the WASD keys for movement. So it makes sense why Tfue would want to do that. Because crouching is useful for reducing the size of your crosshair, moving unpredictably and ghost peeking.

His use key is F. Use isn’t a very important key, but it’s still nice to have it bound to a good key like F. So you can win chest opening battles and pick up items quick and so on.

Repair is bound to a good key, too. A lot of players overlook the repair key. But not Tfue. Of course, he has thought of everything.

Tfue’s inventory is changed from I to TAB to allow for easy inventory management.

The only default keys Tfue has is his reload and rotate building keys are bound to R.

What mouse does Tfue use?

Tfue uses the FinalMouse Ultralight Pro.

Which is an interesting choice because most Fortnite pro players use the Air58 Ninja. I know Tfue has used the Air58 Ninja before. But, perhaps, he prefers the Ultralight Pro.

Finalmouse Ultralight Pro in white

Here are the specifications for the Ultralight Pro:

 • Length: 128mm
 • Width: 60mm
 • Height: 40mm
 • Weight: 71 grams

So, it’s quite a large mouse.

It has an ambidextrous shape which will suit most grip types. And a top optical sensor, so you don’t have to worry about problems when tracking enemies.

The most notable feature of the Ultralight Pro is it’s weight. At just 71 grams it’s one of the lightest gaming mice available.

Another thing that’s worth mentioning is the mouse cable. The Ultralight Pro uses the Phantom Cable. Which is a light and flexible cable that feels almost wireless.

Also, there’s no software. You can adjust the DPI in stages of 400, 800, 1600 and 3200.

But good luck trying to get your hands on this mouse. FinalMouse products are known to sell out quickly.

You can check the availability of the Ultralight Pro on the official FinalMouse website.

Tfue’s Fortnite sensitivity

Tfue Fortnite sensitivity

Tfue’s uses a low sensitivity.

And that’s perhaps why his aim is so accurate.

Here is Tfue’s Fortnite sensitivity:

 • Mouse DPI: 400
 • Mouse Sensitivity X: 0.100
 • Mouse Sensitivity Y: 0.100
 • Mouse Targeting Sensitivity: 0.700
 • Mouse Scope Sensitivity: 0.550

Tfue’s eDPI (effective DPI) is 40. Which is very low, even for a Fortnite pro player.

eDPI is calculated by multiplying your Mouse DPI by your Mouse Sensitivity X in Fortnite.

Mouse Targeting Sensitivity is how sensitive your aim is when you aim down sites (ADS). A value of 1 means it is the same as when you are not zoomed in. And a value of 0.5 means it is half the sensitivity.

The average Mouse Targeting Sensitivity for Fortnite pro players is 0.714. So Tfue is very close to the average.

But Tfue uses a lower Mouse Scope Sensitivity, 0.550. Which is how sensitive your aim is when you use scoped weapons like a sniper rifle. So Tfue’s scope aim speed will be roughly half his usual sensitivity.

The average Mouse Scope Sensitivity is 0.707. And Tfue is quite a bit under average here.

Do you want to learn how to find your perfect Fortnite sensitivity? Then read this.

Tfue’s Fortnite Gaming Setup

Because Tfue is one of the best Fortnite players in the world.

And one of the most popular streamers.

It should come as no surprise that Tfue has an amazing PC.

Here are Tfue’s Gaming PC specs:

How to describe this PC in 1 word?

Overkill.

The Intel Core i9-7980XE is an 18 Core 36 Thread monster of a CPU. But it costs over $1,500. In general, you want around 6 or 8 cores for your CPU.

Video games today are using more cores, but I don’t expect we will see 18 cores used in video games for at least a few more years.

The GTX 1080 Ti isn’t the latest generation of NVIDIA GPUs, however, it is still a great graphics card in 2019. Tfue has 2 of them which has minimal effect on gaming performance. But he is just flexing on us at this point.

The Intel Optane 905p is an exceptional storage drive that will give you lightning fast speeds. But, again, it is very expensive.

Now let’s look at Tfue’s streaming PC specs:

Having a 2 PC set up enables Tfue play Fortnite with the highest possible FPS. And stream in high quality so his viewers have the best experience.

The Intel Core i9-9900k is an incredibly powerful CPU and most players would be happy to have this as their gaming PC CPU.

The GTX 1060 is a mid-range graphics card from the last generation NVIDIA release. But it’s more than capable of playing Fortnite at 60+ FPS on high settings.

Here are Tfue’s peripherals:

Tfue’s Fortnite video settings

Tfue Fortnite video settings

Because Tfue wants to get the most FPS possible when playing Fortnite, he turns most of his video settings to low or off.

Here are Tfue’s Fortnite video settings:

 • Resolution: 1920×1080
 • View Distance: Epic
 • Shadows: Off
 • Anti-Aliasing: Off
 • Textures: Epic
 • Effects: Low
 • Post Processing: Low
 • VSync: Off
 • Motion Blur: Off
 • Show FPS: On
 • Allow Multithreaded Rendering: On

Now, of course, Tfue has a very powerful PC that is more than capable of playing Fortnite at the highest settings.

But Tfue is a competitive player. So he cares more about performance and getting an in-game advantage than he does about good graphics.

VSync means Vertical Sync and it helps your graphics card match the refresh rate of your monitor. But it can lower your FPS and increase your input lag. So it’s turned off.

Motion blur can cause motion sickness so that’s turned off, too. I don’t know why you would want this on.

Show FPS is on so Tfue can see if his FPS ever drops. Because his PC is so powerful, it’s unlikely to drop below 100 even in the most graphically intense situations.

Allow multithreaded rendering helps Fortnite run better on CPUs with a high number of cores. As you know, Tfue has a CPU with 18 cores, so it’s turned on.

Do you want to know how you can get the most FPS when playing Fortnite? Read this.

Tfue’s other Fortnite settings

Tfue color blind mode

Here are the rest of Tfue’s settings:

 • Color Blind Mode: Deuteranope
 • Color Blind Strength: 5
 • HUD Scale: 0.80
 • Brightness: 0.25

The first thing to mention is Tfue’s color blind setting: Deuteranope.

Deuteranope lets you see enemies through the storm easier.

And Tfue wants to get every advantage possible.

His HUD scale is 0.80 which is a little less than the default (which is 1). This is to help remove any unneeded distractions from the screen. So Tfue can concentrate on playing the game.

You want your brightness set at something where you can see enemies, even in dark areas of the map. Strangely, Tfue’s brightness is 0.25.

The default is 0.50 and, in general, 0.50 is too dark for most people. So, my guess is that Tfue has changed his monitor settings or the settings in the NVIDIA control panel.

Conclusion

That just about covers everything related to Tfue and his Fortnite settings and keybinds and so on.

But Tfue’s history goes further back than Fortnite. You see, he was first known on Twitch for playing Z1 Battle Royale as a pro player for Denial Esports.

And then he played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds as a pro player for Rogue.

So, Tfue has been playing video games for a very long time and, in particular, Battle Royale games. And that’s why he’s one of the best Fortnite players in the world today.

Is there anything I missed? Or anything else you want to know about Tfue?

Let me know in the comments and I’ll reply to you.

Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson is a pro Fortnite player and streamer for FaZe Clan.

He is 15 years old and from the United Kingdom.

Mongraal is recognized as one of the best Fortnite players in the world.

In this post, I’m going to show you all of the settings and keybinds that Mongraal uses in Fortnite, as well as the gear he uses for gaming and streaming.

Because we will be going in-depth in a lot of sections, here are the links for each section so you can jump to where you want:

As you read this post, you will find a detailed analysis so you can learn from what Mongraal is using.

Then, you will be able to apply those same findings to your own settings.

Does that sound good?

Now, let’s begin with what I believe are the most important settings in Fortnite.

Mongraal’s building keybinds

Mongraal Fortnite building keybinds
 • Wall: Mouse Button 5
 • Floor: DPI button on mouse (bound to “N”)
 • Stairs: Mouse Button 4
 • Roof: Left-shift
 • Trap Slot: C

You see, Mongraal has his 3 most important building pieces (wall, floor, and stairs) bound to his mouse.

Mongraal has kept the keybindings for these 3 building pieces the same since the very start of Fortnite. So he has a ton of practice with them and that may help to explain why he’s such a fast builder.

As you know you use your wall, floor, and stairs in many Fortnite building patterns. Therefore, you need good coordination between the fingers you use to press those keys.

For most people, the best way to build quickly is to place your building pieces on different fingers.

But Mongraal’s keybinds are a little different.

He has his wall and stairs bound to the 2 side buttons of his mouse, which he presses with his thumb.

Having your wall and stairs bound to your thumb mouse buttons is a good idea. It’s the same keybinds I use and many other Fortnite pro players use it, too.

Mongraal also has his floor bound to his mouse, and he’s able to do this because he uses a mouse with 8 programmable buttons. He uses the DPI button on the top of his mouse that he presses using his index finger.

I will go into more detail about his mouse in just a moment.

For now, let’s continue onward to his final building piece, the roof, which he has bound to Left-Shift.

Left-Shift is an excellent keybind to use because you can easily press it using your pinky finger. But you will need to enable sprint by default in your Fortnite settings, which most players (including Mongraal) use.

For trapping enemies, Mongraal uses C. You can press C using either your index finger or your thumb.

C is a good key because it’s close to your W-key which is used to move forward in Fortnite.

To make it C easier to access and press, you may find it useful to angle your keyboard, particularly if you want to use your thumb.

You see, Mongraal doesn’t use his index or ring finger for pressing any building keys. He only uses the buttons on his mouse and his pinky finger for Left-Shift.

In other words, he has a bunch of good keys leftover on his keyboard, and we’ll see how he uses them next.

Mongraal’s weapon keybinds

Mongraal Fortnite Weapon Keybinds

You can see that Mongraal uses very unique keybinds for accessing the weapons in his inventory and his pickaxe.

 • Harvesting Tool: E
 • Weapon Slot 1: 2
 • Weapon Slot 2: Q
 • Weapon Slot 3: R
 • Weapon Slot 4: 4
 • Weapon Slot 5: X

Now, these keybinds may look random and make little sense to you.

But Mongraal is using a lot of good keys here that are close to the WASD movement keys like E, Q, and R. And he’s able to use them because he has most of his building keybinds bound to his mouse.

A lot of Fortnite players just use the numbers 1 through to 6 for their weapons and pickaxe. Having them in ascending order (low to high) makes a lot of intuitive sense.

But it’s not a requirement, as Mongraal shows here.

Clearly, Mongraal would rather use different keys.

And as long as you spend enough time playing with your keybinds, like Mongraal, you can master any order and build the muscle memory and speed required.

Mongraal’s other keybinds

Now that we’ve covered the main keybinds (building and weapons) in detail, let’s finish off with the rest of Mongraal’s keybinds.

And then you can read on to learn about his mouse, sensitivity, and settings.

Here are the rest of Mongraal’s keybinds:

 • Edit: F
 • Use: 3/Mouse wheel up
 • Reload: Middle mouse button
 • Repair/Upgrade: 1
 • Crouch: Left-Ctrl
 • Sprint By Default: On
 • Repair/Upgrade: Middle mouse button
 • Inventory: Left-Alt
 • Map: Tab

Obviously, Mongraal is a super fast editor, and he’s able to do that because he has edit on a good key: F.

F is easy to press with your index finger, as it’s close to your W-key.

His Use key is on 3, which is very unusual. But he also has it bound to mouse wheel up. Using your mouse wheel as a Use key is a smart idea because it can help you win chest wars.

Another unusual keybind is having reload on the middle mouse button. But this is a non-essential action, therefore, it doesn’t need to be on a very good key.

His crouch key is on left-ctrl, and this is normal because it’s the default key.

And for accessing his inventory and map he uses the left-alt and tab keys respectively. These are good choice choices, as you will need to access your inventory to rearrange your items and look at the map frequently to see where the next zone is.

Something else I want to mention is that Mongraal uses his mouse wheel down as a secondary edit keybind and as his reset edit button. In other words, Mongraal uses the scroll wheel reset edit trick in Fortnite.

Mongraal’s Fortnite mouse

Mongraal uses the Logitech G402 mouse and has used it throughout his entire Fortnite career.

The G402 has 8 programmable buttons and, as you know, Mongraal uses 3 of them for his building pieces.

You can easily remap and reassign your mouse keys for Fortnite by using the Logitech Gaming Software. And Mongraal has his DPI shift button on the top of the mouse remapped to N and he uses that for building his floors.

Here are the specifications for the Logitech G402:

 • Length: 136 mm
 • Width: 72 mm
 • Height: 41 mm
 • Weight: 108 grams

As this is a rather large mouse, you’ll need large hands for it to be right for you.

A good general rule of thumb for choosing a mouse size is measuring your hand from the base of your wrist to the tip of your middle finger. Then take this number and multiplying it by 0.66. The resulting figure will roughly correspond to your ideal mouse length.

Now, the weight of the G402.

Look, competitive Fortnite players typically use a mouse that’s well under 100 grams. But the G402 weighs 102 grams. In other words, it’s a fairly heavy mouse.

Some players, however, prefer using a heavier mouse because it can help increase the control of your aim.

More important than weight for gaming, though, is the sensor of a mouse. You know Logitech is renown for creating mice with excellent sensors.

The G402 is no exception because it uses the Fusion Engine hybrid sensor. A combination of an optical sensor featuring Logitech Delta Zero technology.

So the G402 is able to track properly at high-speeds for competitive gaming.

This is a fine mouse for gaming and the additional buttons make it a great choice for Fortnite players.

You can get it for a fairly cheap price and you can click here to see the latest price of the Logitech G402 on Amazon.

Mongraal’s Fortnite sensitivity

Mongraal Fortnite mouse sensitivity

Mongraal changes his sensitivity fairly frequently.

Here is the most up to date mouse sensitivity that he is using:

 • X-Axis Sensitivity: 5.4%
 • Y-Axis Sensitivity: 5.4%
 • Targeting Sensitivity: 24.4%
 • Scope Sensitivity: 24.4%

Mongraal uses a mouse DPI of 800. He recently changed to this after using 400 for a very long time.

So Mongraal has a Fortnite eDPI of 43.2, which is a low sensitivity.

Also, Mongraal now has his X and Y sensitivities equal to each other and this is something I recommend all Fortnite players do. Previously, his Y sensitivity was less than his X sensitivity.

But since there is so much verticality in Fortnite, it makes sense to have your Y (vertical) sensitivity as high as your X (horizontal) sensitivity.

Targeting sensitivity and scope sensitivity are modifiers for reducing mouse sensitivity when targeting (aiming down sites) or when using scoped weapons).

Mongraal now has both his targeting and scope sensitivity set to the same value of 24.4%.

24.4% is a low targeting and scope sensitivity. And as Mongraal already uses a low base sensitivity it means his mouse movements when aiming down sites or using scoped weapons are going to be very slow, so he can be as precise as possible.

Mongraal’s Fortnite setup

As you know, Mongraal is a professional Fortnite player.

So, it makes sense for him to have an amazing PC.

Here are Mongraal’s Gaming PC specs, according to his Twitch profile:

This is, obviously, a custom built PC.

It’s one of the best PCs you can build today because it uses a top graphics card from NVIDIA and a very fast processor from Intel.

Yes, it’s expensive. But peak performance comes at a premium price.

You can, of course, build a PC that’s more than capable of playing (and streaming) Fortnite for a lot cheaper than the PC Mongraal uses.

A good example is Mongraal’s second PC:

Mongraal dedicates his second PC to streaming. So his first PC can handle the gaming requirements.

Therefore, he can stream to the highest quality to his viewers while playing Fortnite with the highest possible FPS.

But, for most people and potential Fortnite streamers, a one PC set up is fine.

Here are the rest of Mongraal’s peripherals:

Mongraal’s video settings

Now we are going to get into the video settings Mongraal uses in Fortnite.

Mongraal is a competitive player, so he uses settings that allow him to get the highest FPS possible while minimizing distractions.

Here are Mongraal’s display settings:

Mongraal Fortnite display settings
 • Window Mode: Fullscreen
 • Resolution: 1920 x 1080, 16:9
 • Frame Rate Limit: 240 FPS

You should always have your window mode set to fullscreen because any of the other options can cause mouse alignment problems.

Most players will be using a 1920 x 1080 resolution unless of course, you use a stretched resolution in Fortnite.

And Mongraal has his frame limit capped to 240 FPS, to match the display rate of his 240 Hz monitor.

Here are Mongraal’s graphics settings:

Mongraal Fortnite graphics settings
 • Brightness: 98%
 • User Interface Contrast: 1.08x
 • Color Blind Mode: Deuteranope
 • Color Blind Strength: 8

Mongraal’s brightness is slightly lower than the default setting. But he could potentially have adjusted his monitors settings.

His user interface contrast is slightly higher than the default of 1.00x.

Also, Mongraal uses the Deuteranope color blind mode with a strength of 8.

The Deuteranope color blind mode could help you see enemies more easily through the storm.

Here are Mongraal’s graphics quality settings:

Mongraal Fortnite graphics quality settings
 • 3D Resolution: 100%
 • View Distance: Epic
 • Shadows: Off
 • Anti-Aliasing: Off
 • Textures: Low
 • Effects: Low
 • Post Processing: Low

As you know, Mongraal is a competitive player, so it should not be surprising that he has most of his graphics quality settings to the lowest possible to get high FPS and minimize distractions.

The only setting that isn’t set to low or off is his view distance, which is set to Epic, and this will increase the distance you can see other players and objects.

Here are Mongraal’s advanced graphics settings:

Mongraal Fortnite advanced graphics settings
 • VSync: Off
 • Motion Blur: Off
 • Show FPS: On
 • DirectX Version: DirectX 11
 • Allow Multithreaded Rendering: On

VSync helps to synchronize your graphics card FPS to the display rate of your monitor to reduce tearing. But it can lower your FPS and increase input lag.

So Mongraal has VSync turned off and will just put up with any tearing that occurs.

Motion blur is turned off, of course, because why would anyone ever want it enabled?

Mongraal shows his FPS throughout the game, as most players do, so he can see if there are any performance drops while playing Fortnite.

As for his DirectX version, Mongraal is currently using the older DirectX 11.

Finally, he has Allow Multithreaded Rendering on. Because this can help improve performance on multi-core processors, such as the one Mongraal has.

Conclusion

That just about covers everything about Mongraal’s Fortnite settings and keybinds.

Want to know a bit more?

Ok. According to Mongraal’s Twitch profile, he started to play H1Z1 in PS2. He played it competitively for nearly 2 years but quit because it wasn’t like it used to be.

In other words, Mongraal has played video games for years and because he’s put in the time, he’s one of the best players in the world.

However, Fortnite could end up changing too much and dying like H1Z1.
