September 26, 2020, marks the 3rd year since the release of Fortnite Battle Royale.
Of course, a birthday means there’s a celebration.
So Fortnite is throwing the 3rd Birthday Bash for Battle Royale.
The Birthday Bash features challenges, exclusive rewards, a new prefab for Creative mode, and an emote for just logging in.
Read on for more details.
Birthday challenges
The birthday challenges are available between September 26 and October 1.
So make sure you complete them before time runs out to unlock the rewards, or you’ll miss out.
Here are the 4 birthday challenges:

- Dance in front of 10 different Birthday Cakes – Reward: Cakey weapon wrap

- Gain 50 health or shield from Birthday Cake – Reward: 80,000 season XP
You see, the birthday challenges are very straight forward and easy to complete. You can complete all the challenges within 10 games.
But the dance in front of 10 different birthday cakes challenge could be difficult if you don’t know where to look.
Here are the 10 named locations to find birthday cakes to dance in front of:
- Lazy Lake
- Retail Row
- Dirty Docks
- Doom’s Domain
- Sweaty Sands
- Salty Springs
- Holly Hedges
- Weeping Woods
- Slurpy Swamp
- Misty Meadows
Now that you know the locations, the birthday cakes will be easy to find because they are large and surrounded by balloons.
When you complete all 4 birthday challenges, you’ll unlock the Cake back bling.

Conclusion
I find it hard to believe that its been 3 years since the release of Fortnite Battle Royale.
The game has certainly changed a lot in those 3 years.
Even the dates that Fortnite is holding the birthday events has changed.
Confusingly, Fortnite Save the World was first released on July 25, 2017. And historically Fortnite has planned its birthday events around this date.
For example, Fortnite’s 1st birthday celebration started on July 24, 2018, and Fortnite’s 2nd birthday celebration started on July 25, 2019.
But 2020 is the first year that Fortnite has celebrated its birthday using the initial release of Battle Royale 26 September 2017 for the date.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the Birthday Bash and make sure you log in before October 1 to complete all the challenges and get your rewards!
